PALO SANTO

For many years, it has been believed that Palo Santo (or “Holy Wood”) sticks emit smoke that cleanses the environment, improves mood, relaxes, and reduces stress. Light the tip of the stick and let the flame embrace the incense for 10 seconds, then blow out the flame and place the stick on a non-flammable surface. Holding it in your hands, you can walk through the space you are in. This is one of the most effective ways to cleanse a space. If the incense smoke is sufficient, extinguish the stick in water, and you can light it again next time. On the island of Bali, Palo Santo is used for important rituals, but it is held in the hand during the ceremony.
