Freeze-dried papaya 400 ml.

I discovered the taste and benefits of papaya while living on the island of Bali. Previously, I found it flavorless… but when enhanced with lime juice, papaya reveals a completely different flavor. Papaya is incredibly beneficial for our bodies; you can read about its benefits in the product description.

How do I use freeze-dried papaya? I add it to porridge and desserts. I also eat it as a snack, as fresh papaya isn’t always available in Lithuania. I don’t enhance freeze-dried papaya with lime juice; it has a very mild flavor but provides exceptional benefits for our bodies.

Description

Freeze-dried papaya. The papaya fruit is an excellent source of vitamin C, with one medium fruit containing over 200% of the daily recommended intake (more than oranges or lemons). It is also rich in vitamins A, E, K, B vitamins, pantothenic acid, folic acid, magnesium, copper, potassium, calcium, alpha and beta carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, and the powerful antioxidant lycopene.

Studies conducted in Japan have shown that consuming foods high in beta carotene, such as papaya, is associated with a lower risk of colorectal cancer. Research at Harvard has demonstrated that such foods also protect younger men from prostate cancer. Studies indicate that people with type 1 diabetes who consume high-fiber foods, like papaya, have lower blood glucose levels. Those with type 2 diabetes have shown improvements in blood sugar, lipid, and insulin levels. A medium papaya contains about 5 grams of dietary fiber.

Papayas contain an enzyme called papain, which aids digestion. The dietary fiber in papayas also helps prevent constipation, maintains intestinal cleanliness, and supports gastrointestinal health. Additionally, papaya contains a crucial and versatile nutrient called choline, which helps our body with sleep, learning, memory, and muscle movement. Choline maintains the structure of cell membranes, helps transmit nerve impulses, participates in fat absorption processes, and reduces chronic inflammation.

The antioxidant zeaxanthin found in this fruit filters harmful blue light rays and protects the eyes from potential macular degeneration, which is associated with aging.
